More than simply another style or system of Asian martial arts Kuk Sool Won™ can almost be described as a "graduate level" martial arts program. An extremely comprehensive system, Kuk Sool Won™ is comprised of all aspects of traditional Asian martial arts -- striking and kicking, throwing and grappling, pressure points and joint locking, animal style techniques, traditional Korean forms, traditional Korean weapons, falling and martial arts gymnastics and Asian health and body protection techniques -- all drawn from the three traditional sub-groups of Korean martial arts and ALL offered in a single, unified and highly-structured system! The chart below will give a quick, visual representation of the diversity of training and technique contained in the Kuk Sool Won curriculum. For a more detailed understanding of what Kuk Sool Won™ of the Upstate has to offer, check out our Syllabus, Underbelt Requirements and Black Belt Requirements.
With Kuk Sool Won™ there is no need to study several different martial arts to get the results that you want, and at Kuk Sool Won™ of the Upstate you get it all in a safe, friendly and comfortable atmosphere with the training progressing at YOUR pace. You will be challenged to push beyond your limits, but always within the bounds of safety and achievable goals. At Kuk Sool Won™ you are never measured against others, but always against your continuing progress.
