The photo in our header is an early morning view of the mountains from the monastery at Baek Dam Sa Temple where we visited on our Trip to Korea with the WKSA. The view looks remarkably like our own Blue Ridge mountains!

This is a martial arts skills program also designed to convey not only an understanding of martial arts philosophy and self-defense, but also an appreciation for Korean culture and the background from which martial arts developed.  Students will be introduced to martial arts as a window on the culture from which it developed (in this case Kuk Sool Won and Korea, although other martial arts styles – such as Japanese Karate & Chinese Kung Fu – will also be discussed in class to show how different styles developed in different cultures).

Classes will be taught by 6th Degree Black Belt Instructor Dr. Daniel Middleton and 2nd Degree Black Belt Instructor, Sherry Lawson.  Information: (864) 360-0174 or (864) 940-4670 Email: upstatekuksoolwon@gmail.com.  Palmetto Cheer gym is located on N. Park Dr off  McGee Rd  (McGee Rd connects Whitehall Rd and 28 By-pass.)
